The objectives of the association shall be:

a) to support by donations, local charities and community organisations, fosters a sense of belonging to the community and sharing responsibility for the community’s wellbeing, creating a network of community support. Helping those community groups in need, strengthening the social fabric of the community, creating a network of support.

(b) to foster community spirit by promoting each year the village Carnival and other community events, for the benefit of all the local residents and the general public at large, by involving all local organisations wishing to participate thereby helping to harmonisethe community spirit to raise funds.

(c) to promote volunteering by opening doors for people to contribute theirtime, skills and passion to organising community events that matter,helping to build stronger communities, foster solidarity, and ensure that everyone has a role in learning as they volunteer. It also means making volunteering visible, valued, and accessible. Recognizing many ways people give back, whether formally or informally, locally, and encouraging a culture where volunteering is not only appreciated but actively supported and sustained.

The association’s Purpose :

a) The organisation plans, organises and carrys out a week of small fund raising events during a Carnival Week, with the larger Carnival Procession on the final Saturday. A Collection of Community Members of all ages who enter exhibits, group floats, fancy dress costumes, local carnival queens, fairy queens, vintage vehicles and foot parades all contribute to an event with spectators from the local area and further a field.

b) Donation buckets & tins are available at Par Carnival events and street collections are carried out during the Carnival Procession.

c) The events we arrange and carryout raise funds of which we provide to the local organisation, clubs and community groups. These funds provide that little bit extra need to support, run and provide for the expansion and replacement of any equipment required by the organisations.
